Offers were made to forwards Phillip Danault, Jacob de la Rose, Michael McCarron and Kerby Rychel.
In 52 games during the 2017-18 campaign, Danault registered eight goals and 25 points.
For his part, de la Rose is coming off his first full season in the NHL ranks, amassing four goals and 12 points in 55 games.
McCarron, meanwhile, collected seven goals and 24 points in 54 games with the AHL's Laval Rocket this past season, and also suited up for 18 games with the Canadiens. He picked up one assist.
Rychel was acquired in a trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs in late February. In 16 games with Laval, he registered eight goals and 12 points. He also played four games for the Canadiens, scoring one goal and collecting two points.
Five restricted free agents were not tendered offers, including forwards Logan Shaw, Daniel Carr and Jeremy Gregoire, defenseman Tom Parisi and goaltender Zachary Fucale.
