Gabriel Landeskog will be out two weeks for the Colorado Avalanche because of a lower-body injury.

The forward left in the second period of a 7-3 win against the Detroit Red Wings on Friday. Landeskog had an assist in the game to extend his point streak to an NHL career-high 10 games (three goals, 10 assists).
Avalanche forward Nazem Kadri also did not play in a 3-2 win against the Florida Panthers at Ball Arena on Sunday. It was the second straight game the forward missed since sustaining a lower-body injury during a 7-3 win at the New York Rangers on Wednesday.
"It's unfortunate," Avalanche forward Tyson Jost said. "You never want to see any of your teammates go down with injuries, let alone anyone around the League. But this has happened so often over the five years I've been here, so just the next-man-up mentality. We've done a great job of kind of adjusting to that and fighting through that adversity. We've found ways to kind of persevere and come through, so tonight's just another example of that."
The Avalanche also were without defensemen Bowen Byram (head) and Ryan Murray (lower body).
The Avalanche recalled forward Mikhail Maltsev from Colorado of the American Hockey League on Sunday, and forward J.T. Compher returned to the lineup against Florida after missing 12 games with an upper-body injury. Maltsev had two shots on goal in 6:44, and Compher had one hit and one blocked shot in 19:06.
"The guys that are available and can play are doing a great job and we're winning hockey games," Avalanche coach Jared Bednar said. "It becomes more difficult and frustrating when you're losing. We're just hoping to keep this thing going and try to get healthy at some point. I don't even know if we've had our [entire] team together yet at this point in the year, which is crazy."
Goalie Pavel Francouz was recalled from Colorado of the AHL and backed up Darcy Kuemper. Francouz has not played this season after spraining an ankle during a preseason game against the Vegas Golden Knights on Oct. 5.
In four games in the AHL on a conditioning loan, he was 3-1-0 with a 1.52 goals-against average, .945 save percentage and one shutout.
Francouz, who did not play last season while recovering from hip surgery, last played in an NHL game against the Dallas Stars in Game 4 of the Western Conference Second Round in the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs.
"Every indication we've been given early on here is he's looked sharp," Bednar said. "If he can get back to playing the way he did a couple of years ago for us. ... We've seen him a little bit in training camp before he got hurt and he looked sharp. ... If you look at our goaltending numbers to this point in the season, they're not great. It has to continue to improve and I think 'Frankie' can help with that."
