Montreal leads the series 2-1.
After the game, defenseman Shea Weber, goaltender Carey Price, forward Josh Anderson, forward Phillip Danault and assistant coach Luke Richardson spoke with reporters via Zoom.
Here are a few highlights from their respective chats:
Weber on the play of Nick Suzuki, who continues to impress:
He's a competitor. We've learned a lot about him in the couple of years we've had him. He's not shy to physical play, to dig his nose in there. He took a big hit, but I felt like it almost fired him up even more. He just came back and kept competing.

Price & Weber on the adversity the team has faced

Weber on Price's outstanding 43-save performance:
He was unbelievable. He's a huge reason why we've been so successful, and it was no different tonight. I thought we weren't very good to start. They made a point to have a good start, and they were definitely better than us. I thought we got better as the game went on, but without Carey, we wouldn't have had a chance to do what we did.

Price on the season to date, given everything that has transpired, including interim head coach Dominique Ducharme testing positive for COVID-19:
It's been up and down this year, but I feel like we've always responded well to the adversity. Tonight was just another example of that. Not having Dom behind the bench is just another twist that we're going to have to deal with. I thought our assistant coaches did a great job of stepping up.
Price on why this edition of the Canadiens is special:
We just don't quit. It's pretty much the easiest way to explain it. We've gone through a lot of adversity and we keep responding well to it.

Anderson on scoring the game-tying goal and the overtime-winner:
We had a press late in the third period and we got a fortunate bounce on the tying goal. In OT, it looked like we had a lot more energy than them. We came out hard and found a way to win the hockey game. You could just see the compete level throughout our lineup was right there. We found a way tonight. It was a huge game that we needed to win.

Anderson & Danault on Friday's events

Anderson on Price's remarkable effort between the pipes:
It was incredible, not only to watch him play like that, but for the fans too. He kept us in the game all game, and we wouldn't be sitting here talking about this without him. He made some crucial saves that really kept us in the game and gave us the opportunity to win tonight.

Danault on the Habs' impressive playoff run:
We're a special team. I'm really lucky to be here and to have the chance to battle with these guys every night. We give ourselves a chance to win every game. We found our playoff swagger. It's good to see. We're having fun. We have a very good group. I'm very proud to play with these guys.
Danault on the coaching staff's work in Ducharme's absence:
Today was a day that really looked a lot like our season. It's something we weren't expecting. We're such a tight group. We play well together. We have good team spirit. No matter what happens, we stick together. We picked up a big win tonight by showing a lot of character. The coaches did a great job with Dom being out. They were solid.

Richardson on staying in close contact with Ducharme while he's isolating at home:
Dom spoke with the players before the game and quickly after the game. The guys were thrilled for him. I'm sure he's had lots on his mind over the course of the day. It's a difficult year for everybody. This is supposed to be a special time for Dom, so we're feeling for him for missing it. We know how much he's put into it. It was great to hear his voice and the players really responded tonight for him. Even after, they were very excited to hear his voice and to share that celebration with him. We kept in contact all day on little details and even in between periods, just a few details, as we always do, and share our ideas together in the coaches room.

Richardson on the win in Ducharme's absence

Richardson on earning his first NHL victory as the man in charge behind the bench:
I'm so proud for the guys and happy for the guys. It's kind of a relief for Dom in his situation. I guess I would've thought my first chance running an NHL bench would be an exhibition game, but it happened to be in the third round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs in overtime, so it's pretty exciting. We're just hoping to keep this thing going and we get the whole group back together.
