Capitals to Host Virtual Rock the Red Carpet Event

ARLINGTON, Va. - The Washington Capitals will host a Virtual Rock the Red Carpet Event from 4-5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 22 prior to Opening Night Presented by GEICO. The Capitals host their first home game of the 2020-21 season at 7 p.m. that evening against the Buffalo Sabres at Capital One Arena.

The Virtual Rock the Red Carpet will provide fans with a live look-in to the Lexus Garage and GEICO red carpet as players arrive at Capital One Arena. Capitals radio play by play voice John Walton and digital host Taryn Bray will provide commentary and player interviews throughout the hour from the Capital One Arena studio. Select Season Ticket Members will line the red carpet via video chat and engage with players as they walk the carpet.
The game will be televised locally on NBC Sports Washington and broadcast on the Caps Radio Network, 106.7 The Fan, Caps Radio 24/7, WashingtonCaps.com and on the Washington Caps mobile app.
The Capitals face the Sabres for third time this season after taking both contents at KeyBank Center. Washington is 26-15-2-2 all-time in home openers at Capital One Arena, and are 15-1-2 in their last 18 home openers.
