Players Surprise MedStar Health Nurses on National Nurses Day

It's National Nurses Day and given the circumstances surrounding the holiday this year, select Capitals players wanted to find a way to personally thank some local nurses here in Washington, D.C.

And since they are not able visit the hospitals to thank them in person, they decided the next best thing was to surprise them on a Zoom call.
Nurses at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital gathered together in a conference room when T.J. Oshie, John Carlson and Tom Wilson appeared on screen.
To add to the excitement, one of the nurses on the call Angelica Ferrazzi (pictured fourth from the right) was told by the players that she was selected as MedStar Georgetown University Hospital's Magnet Nurse of the Year.

The trio also spoke with nurses at MedStar Washington Hospital Center.
