The Seattle Kraken are proud to announce Dan Bylsma as the second head coach in franchise history.

Bylsma's resume boasts a Stanley Cup win with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2009, along with a Jack Adams Award for NHL Coach of the Year in 2011. In 2014 he was named head coach of Team USA at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi.

More recently, Bylsma has been instrumental in the development of Kraken prospects, serving as the Head Coach of AHL affiliate Coachella Valley for the past two seasons, leading the Firebirds to a Game 7 overtime of the Calder Cup Finals in 2022-23.
