The Devils defeated the Minnesota Wild, 2-1, in overtime tonight at Prudential Center. Here's what we learned:
1) When the Devils impose their will and dictate the game, they're a hard team to play against. They dominated puck possession in the first and third periods and it showed all over the stat sheet. They're still learning how to continue to play their game and handle the opposition when they push back, as we saw in the second period, but the Devils responded quicker and better tonight than they had in previous games and it resulted in a come-from-behind win.

2) It appears Taylor Hall likes playing at Prudential Center. In two games, he's scored three goals including both game-winning goals.
3) Pavel Zacha moved up the depth chart and started the game centering Taylor Hall and Kyle Palmieri and he didn't look out of place. Head coach John Hynes said he had earned the opportunity and felt he got stronger and more comfortable as the game went on. Although Zacha hasn't been told he's made the team yet, all signs are pointing in that direction.
The Devils are off tomorrow and will practice on Monday before hosting the Arizona Coyotes on Tuesday.
