Devils prospect Arseny Gritsyuk was named the Kontinental Hockey League Rookie of the Year, the Alexei Cherepanov Award, after posting 22 goals and 38 points in 52 games played.
Gritsyuk, who was New Jersey's fifth-round pick (129th overall) in 2019, played for Avangard this past season. The 21-year-old also appeared in 12 games for Omsk during the 2020-21 campaign.
The left-shot winger played six games for the ROC (Russian Olympic Committee) at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games in Bejing, posting one goal and three points to help his club win the silver medal.
Gritsyuk also won silver for Team Russia at the 2019 World Under-18 Championship, tallying three goals and five points in seven contests.
