The New Jersey Devils today signed defenseman Colton White to a one-year, two-way contract worth $700,000 at the NHL level and $90,000 at the AHL level. The announcement was made by Devils' Executive Vice President/General Manager Tom Fitzgerald.

White, 23, was selected by New Jersey in the fourth round, 97th overall, in the 2015 NHL Draft. With Binghamton (AHL) this past season, White finished the 2019-20 season with one goal and 11 assists in 45 games played. He set career highs across the board in 2018-19 with seven goals, 23 assists and 30 points.
In three seasons with Binghamton, the left-handed blueliner has tallied 10 goals and 41 assists for 51 points with 73 penalty minutes in 163 AHL contests. White made his NHL debut during the 2018-19 season playing in three contests, tallying two penalty minutes. He skated in six NHL games this past season.
The London, Ont. native spent 2013-2017 with Sault Ste. Marie (OHL), where he led the Greyhounds' defensemen with a career high nine goals and had career highs with 26 assists and 35 points while dressing in all the club's 68 games during the 2015-16 season. He was named as an alternate captain in his last season and scored one goal and two assists in 12 OHL Playoff games. The 6-1, 185lb. defenseman had OHL regular-season career totals of 21 goals, 72 assists for 93 points and 86 penalty minutes in 256 games.
