The New Jersey Devils have recalled forward Fabian Zetterlund from Utica of the American Hockey League and placed forward Tyce Thompson on Injured Reserve.
Zetterlund, a third-round pick (63rd overall) in the 2017 NHL Draft, has three goals, nine points and a plus-7 in 10 games for Utica. The 22-year-old right-shot has played in two-plus seasons in the AHL, totaling 47 points (18G, 29A) in 90 contests. Zetterlund, who has yet to make his NHL debut, will join the Devils for practice Wednesday afternoon.
Thompson, 22, has missed the past three games with an upper-body injury. He has appeared in two games for New Jersey and seven for Utica this season after missing the start of the year with an undisclosed injury.
