Gila Monsters live the majority of their lives below ground and have little interaction with the outside world. However, when Chance learned that major professional hockey was coming to Las Vegas, he became energized and emerged from his underground burrow in Red Rock Canyons to see what all the excitement was about. He made his new home at City National Arena, and like many newcomers to the sport, fell in love with the game of hockey and the Golden Knights.

The Golden Knight

The Golden Knight was chosen many years ago to be the defender of The Fortress. After pulling the sword from the stone, the Golden Knight has used its powers, and his smarts, to outwit and defeat his opponents. The Golden Knight was plucked almost from obscurity based on his merits and special characteristics that allowed him to pull the ancient mythical sword from the stone. Throughout his life, he always knew he was special and destined for a purpose bigger than himself. Now, as champion and rightful owner of the Holy Grail, he has accomplished that task.

The Squire

After winning the Holy Grail, the Golden Knight gained many fans but one stuck out more than most. A young Squire, inspired by the valor of the Golden Knight, pledged himself to be his assistant as the Golden Knight must now defend the Grail. The Squire has lived in the Realm of Gold and Ice his entire life and has watched as the Golden Knight defeats his enemies game after game. He has practiced sword-fighting for years and is now ready to go toe to toe along with the Golden Knight. Together, they will defend the fortress and the Holy Grail!
