The 2020 offseason is unlike any other for all 31 teams in the NHL. With different circumstances than normal, the Vegas Golden Knights have made history as they've used the time off to their advantage.
General Manager Kelly McCrimmon has made it clear that he's always looking for ways to make his team as strong as possible and, with no set date for the 2020-21 season opener just yet, there is still plenty of time for tinkering.

Take a look at what the Golden Knights have done in recent weeks while the team has been away from the ice.
Sept. 28 - Forward Dylan Sikura was acquired by the Golden Knights in exchange for forward Brandon Pirri.
Oct. 1 - Three years after the tragedy of Oct. 1, 2017, members of the Golden Knights visited first responders across the city and hosted a blood drive at T-Mobile Arena.

Oct. 2 - The Vegas Golden Knights released the team's new gold jersey to the public for the first time. The jersey is available for purchase at The Arsenal, The Armory and at the Vegas Team Store website.

Oct. 3 - Robin Lehner signed a five-year contract extension with the Golden Knights worth an average-annual value of $5 million. Lehner was acquired by Vegas in February ahead of the trade deadline and made his commitment to the organization known with the five-year deal.

Oct. 4- Members of the team's hockey operations staff gather at Rock Creek Cattle Company in Deer Lodge, Montana to finalize preparation for the 2020 NHL Draft and start of free agency.
Oct. 5 - The first of five live broadcasts from Rock Creek Cattle Company began with Knight Time at Noon with Dave Goucher, Shane Hnidy and Gary Lawless.
Oct. 6 - Brendan Brisson is selected by the Golden Knights with their first-round selection (29th overall) in the 2020 draft.

Oct. 7 - Vegas made five selections on the second day of the draft. The Golden Knights selected Lukas Cormier (68th overall), Jackson Hallum (91st overall), Jesper Vikman (125th overall), Noah Ellis (184th overall) and Maxim Marushev (215th overall). Vegas also resigned forward Chandler Stephenson to a four-year contract and inked forward Gage Quinney, forward Reid Duke and defenseman Jimmy Schuldt to one-year contracts.
Oct. 9 - The Golden Knights acquired defenseman Carl Dahlstrom and a 2022 fourth-round pick from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for Paul Stastny.
Oct. 11 - Tomas Nosek, Tomas Jurco and Danny O'Regan all signed one-year contracts with the Golden Knights.

Oct. 12 - Vegas made the biggest splash in free agency as the team signed defenseman Alex Pietrangelo to a seven-year contract worth an average-annual value of $8.8 million. The team also added a 2022 third-round pick from the Vancouver Canucks for defenseman Nate Schmidt.
