Though the Vegas Golden Knights and Henderson Silver Knights are yet to resume action for the 2020-21 season, several prospects have begun their seasons at the college level, in junior leagues and in Europe.
As we await the return of the NHL and AHL, check in on the future Golden Knights as they continue their development around the world.

Brandon Brisson, University of Michigan (NCAA)
After being selected in the first round (29th overall) by the Golden Knights at the 2020 NHL Draft, Brendan Brisson has started his collegiate career at Michigan with a bang. In six games with the Wolverines, Brisson has posted four points (1G, 3A) including his first NCAA goal against Wisconsin on Nov. 19.
Brandon Kruse, Bowling Green State University (NCAA)
In his senior season at Bowling Green, Brandon Kruse has continued the pace he set in his first three seasons as a productive offensive player. In two games this year, Kruse has four points (1G, 3A) and a +5 rating.
Layton Ahac, Ohio State University (NCAA)
In three games this season, Layton Ahac is yet to post a point for the winless Buckeyes as they find their footing in 2020-21. The 2019 third-round pick (86th overall) hopes to build on his successful freshman season in 2019-20 where he appeared in 36 games for OSU.
Ryder Donovan, University of Wisconsin (NCAA)
In just the second game of the 2020-21 season, Ryder Donovan matched his 2019-20 goal output with a two-goal showing against Notre Dame. The 2019 fifth-round pick (110th overall) has three points in seven games for the 4-3-0 Badgers.
Noah Ellis, Des Moines (USHL)
In his second season with the Buccaneers, Noah Ellis has posted a point-per-game pace through four contests. The 2020 sixth-round pick (184th overall) has four points (1G, 3A) early in the USHL season.
Lukas Cormier, Charlottetown/Team Canada (QMJHL/WJC)
The team's third-round pick (68th overall) in the 2020 draft is off to a strong start in his third season with the Charlottetown Islanders of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. With 21 points (7G, 14A) in 13 games, Cormier leads all defensemen in scoring in the QMJHL and is currently at Team Canada's National Junior Team Selection Camp.
Peyton Krebs, Team Canada (WJC)
Vegas' top prospect Peyton Krebs is also at Team Canada's selection camp in preparation for the 2021 World Junior Championship. The Calgary native has appeared in both of the team's intra-squad games.
Kaedan Korczak, Team Canada (WJC)
Korczak currently joins Cormier and Krebs in Red Deer, Alberta and the defenseman has already chipped in two assists during the selection camp's two intra-squad games.
Jesper Vikman, AIK (Sweden)
The fifth-round pick (125th overall) from October's draft leads the goaltending efforts for his team and owns a 5-4-0 record with a 4.10 GAA and .851 save percentage through nine games played in Sweden's J20 Nationell League.
Jiri Patera, Motor Ceske Budejovice (Czech Republic)
Coming off an impressive 2019-20 campaign spent in Brandon with the Wheat Kings, Patera has started the new season on a loan with Motor Ceske Budejovice in the Czech Republic. Through six games, the goaltender and 2017 draft selection (161st overall) has one shutout with a 2.04 GAA and .927 save percentage.
Maxim Marushev, Ak Bars Kazan (Russia)
Marushev has already matched the same number of games that he spent last season in Russia's top league. Through seven contests with Ak Bars Kazan of the KHL, the forward has collected one assist and owns a +2 rating.
Pavel Dorofeyev, Chelyabinsk (Russia)
Last year's third-round selection (79th overall) is splitting time between Russia's top three leagues. In the VHL, Dorofeyev has appeared in 21 games and has put up seven points (4G, 3A) with Chelyabinsk.
Marcus Kallionkieli, HIFK (Finland)
Like Jiri Patera, Kallionkieli has started the new season on a loan from the Brandon Wheat Kings. Currently in Finland, the forward has scored five points (1G, 4A) through nine games with HIFK U20. Brandon and the WHL hope to start their season in early January.
Ivan Morozov, SKA St. Petersburg (Russia)
Morozov has played each game of the 2020-21 season in the KHL with SKA St. Petersburg. Through 27 games, Morozov is a top-10 scorer on his team with 11 tallies (6G, 5A).
