By The Numbers: 2021-22 Look Back for VGK

There were peaks and valleys aplenty for the Vegas Golden Knights during the 2021-22 regular season. While the Golden Knights aren't participating in the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs, there are still positives to look back on for the team as it battled its way through its fifth season in the NHL.

Multiple players set career-highs in key statistical categories and helped the team finish within a breath of a playoff spot. Today we will go player-by-player to examine a statistical highlight from each of the players who appeared in a game for Vegas in 2021-22.
Zach Whitecloud:
Whitecloud posted career-highs in goals (8G), assists (11A), and points (19PTS) in 2021-22. He recorded his first two-goal game in the NHL against Detroit on Nov. 18 and accomplished the feat again on Dec. 12 against Minnesota.
Brayden McNabb:
With an assist against Edmonton on Oct. 22, McNabb hit the 100-point mark for his career. On April 9 against the Coyotes, McNabb notched the first three-point game of his career with a goal and two assists in a 6-1 win.
Kaedan Korczak:
The Golden Knights traded up at the 2019 NHL to select Korczak in the second round and the young defenseman made his NHL debut on Feb. 1 against the Buffalo Sabres. Korczak had a +1 rating in 16:37 of ice time in his debut.
Alex Pietrangelo:
In his 12th full NHL season, Pietrangelo hit the 40-point mark for the ninth time with 44 points (13G, 31A) in 80 games. He set a new career-high with 227 shots on goal.
Jack Eichel:
After undergoing successful neck surgery shortly after being acquired by the Golden Knights in November, Eichel made his long-awaited return to the lineup on Feb. 16. From April 1-14, Eichel put up a six-game point streak and had seven points (5G, 2A) in that stretch. The longest point streak of his career was an 18-game stretch during the 2019-20 season during which he posted 32 points (16G, 16A).
Nicolas Roy:
Roy had a career year in 2021-22 as he more than doubled his previous highs with 39 points (15G, 24A) in 78 games. He led all Vegas players with three shootout goals on six attempts.
Nicolas Hague:
Hague matched his career-high in games played as he skated in 52 games in 2021-22. He put up more than 100 shots for the first time in his career as he launched 116 pucks on goal.
Jake Leschyshyn:
On Oct. 14, Leschyshyn stepped into the Vegas lineup for the first time as the 2017 second-round pick made his NHL debut for the Golden Knights. Leschyshyn posted six points (2G, 4A) in 41 games for Vegas and 27 points (14G, 13A) in 34 games for the Henderson Silver Knights.
Pavel Dorofeyev:
Dorofeyev appeared in his first NHL game for the Golden Knights on Oct. 12 against the Seattle Kraken. The 2019 third-round pick spent the majority of the season in Henderson where he led the Silver Knights in scoring with 52 points (27G, 25A) in 63 games.
Ben Hutton:
After signing with the Golden Knights as a free agent on Oct. 28, Hutton jumped into the lineup and provided 13 points (3G, 10A) in 58 games. His goal against the Anaheim Ducks on March 4 was his 100th NHL point.
Reilly Smith:
Smith registered two shorthanded goals for the third season in a row and had four shorthanded points for the third time in his career. He also notched three game-winning goals for the sixth time in his nine full NHL seasons.
Chandler Stephenson:
Stephenson set new personal marks across the board with 21 goals, 43 assists and 64 points. He led the team with his 43 assists and topped the team chart with six power-play goals.
Brett Howden:
Howden posted 20 points (9G, 11A) for the second time in his career and had a personal-best five-game point streak from Jan. 24 to Feb. 8 during which he notched seven points (4G, 3A).
Michael Amadio:
Amadio was claimed off waivers by the Golden Knights on Oct. 30 from Toronto, and he saw steady action with 53 games played. He notched career-bests with 11 goals and 18 points including two game-winning goals.
Alec Martinez:
Martinez's action was limited in 2021-22 due to injury, but the veteran defenseman led the team in blocks-per-game with 8.03.
Mattias Janmark:
Janmark hit the 25-point mark for the fourth time in his career as he notched nine goals and 16 assists in 67 games. He put up a three-game goal streak as he found the back of the net four times from Dec. 28 to Jan. 2.
Shea Theodore:
Theodore raised his benchmark for points in 2021-22 with 52 points (14G, 38A) in 78 games. He had 11 multi-point games throughout the season including a three-point game (1G, 2A) against Montreal on Jan. 20. Theodore led the Golden Knights in game-winning goals with five in 2021-22.
William Carrier:
Carrier put up a career-high 20 points and surpassed 100 shots for the first time in his career as he had 120 shots on goal. He ranked second on the team with 159 hits in 63 games.
Logan Thompson:
Thompson started his 2021-22 campaign in Henderson with the Silver Knights and concluded the season by earning time in the NHL with Vegas. The 25-year-old appeared in seven of the team's final eight games down the stretch as Robin Lehner and Laurent Brossoit battled injuries. Among rookies who appeared in at least 10 games, Thompson led all goaltenders with a .914 save percentage through 19 NHL games played.
Laurent Brossoit:
Brossoit's first season with the Golden Knights was cut short due to an injury sustained in Winnipeg on March 15. In 24 games prior, the native of British Columbia went 10-9-3 with a 2.90 GAA and .895 save percentage.
Nolan Patrick:
The Golden Knights acquired Patrick during the offseason and inked him to a two-year deal. During his first season with the team, the center appeared in 25 games and collected seven points (2G, 5A).
Daniil Miromanov:
With the Vegas blueline battered due to injury, Miromanov chipped in with 11 games and notched his first NHL point with an assist on Oct. 26 at Colorado. With the Silver Knights, Miromanov showed his offensive upside by leading Henderson defensemen with 40 points (11G, 29A) in 53 AHL games.
Paul Cotter:
Cotter made his NHL debut on Nov. 9 in Vegas against Seattle and scored his first goal two days later against Minnesota. The 22-year-old spent most of the season in the AHL with Henderson, finishing fourth on the Silver Knights in scoring with 34 points (19G, 15A) in 59 contests.
Jonas Rondbjerg:
Rondbjerg appeared in 30 NHL games after making his debut during the second game of the season in Los Angeles. Rondbjerg's first NHL tally came on the same night as Paul Cotter's first at home against the Wild during a 3-2 win on November 11. He finished the season with six points (2G, 4A).
Sven Baertschi:
Baertschi made his debut with the Golden Knights in November and spent the rest of the season with the Silver Knights. In Henderson, the native of Switzerland finished fifth on the team in scoring with 28 points (15G, 13A).
Dylan Coghlan:
Coghlan appeared in a career-high 59 games with Vegas during the 2021-22 season and posted 13 points (3G, 10A). Two of the defenseman's goals came on the power play.
Keegan Kolesar:
Kolesar led the lineup in hits with 246 to rank 10th among all skaters in the NHL. His career-high 77 games ranked sixth on the Golden Knights.
Mark Stone:
The Vegas captain suffered an injury during the team's second game of the season in Los Angeles and went on to appear in just 37 games throughout the campaign. Despite the limited action, Stone clicked at a 0.81 points-per-game pace to rank third on the team in that category.
Evgenii Dadonov:
Dadonov finished fifth on the team in scoring with 43 points (20G, 23A) in 78 games as he surpassed 40 points for the fourth time in his career. The forward ranked second on the team with five power-play goals during his first season in Vegas.
Ben Jones:
The team's final pick of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft made his debut with Vegas on November 20 at home against Columbus. Jones played in two games with the Golden Knights and 66 games with the Silver Knights, leading all Henderson skaters.
Zack Hayes:
Hayes earned the call up to the NHL on March 21 when the Golden Knights visited the Wild. The young defenseman made his debut in Minnesota and also appeared in the team's next two games.
Max Pacioretty:
Like Stone, Pacioretty dealt with injuries through much of the 2021-22 season. In 39 games, the forward nearly played at a point-per-game pace with 37 points (19G, 18A). His 0.95 points-per-game led the Golden Knights.
William Karlsson:
In his fifth season with the Golden Knights, Karlsson posted 35 points (12G, 23A) in 67 games and also contributed 44 takeaways. His assist against Washington on April 20 was his 300th NHL point.
Jonathan Marchessault:
Marchessault led Vegas in scoring with 66 points (30G, 36A) in 76 games. His 30 tallies on the campaign also led the team and tied a career-high set during the 2016-17 season in Florida with the Panthers.
Robin Lehner:
Like much of the Vegas core, Lehner battled through injuries during the 2021-22 season. When healthy, the goaltender appeared in 44 contests and posted a 2.83 GAA and .907 save percentage.
Brayden Pachal:
Pachal made his NHL debut in Winnipeg on March 15 and played again in Minnesota on the 21st. The defenseman captained the Henderson Silver Knights and appeared in 65 AHL games.
