Dylan Coghlan had his first career hat trick as the Vegas Golden Knights (16-6-1) suffered their second loss in a row as they fell to the Minnesota Wild (15-8-1), 4-3, on Wednesday night at Xcel Energy Center.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
After Joel Eriksson Ek opened the scoring 19 seconds in, Coghlan answered with his first NHL goal to tie the game at 1-1. Kirill Kaprizov scored early in the third period to put the Wild ahead, 2-1. Consecutive goals from Eriksson Ek and Carson Soucy put Minnesota in front, 4-1, and Logan Thompson replaced Marc-Andre Fleury in net. Coghlan scored twice in the final six minutes to bring the Golden Knights to within one, but it wasn't enough as the Wild picked up the 4-3 win.
STAT OF THE KNIGHT
Coghlan is the first rookie to register a hat trick as a Golden Knight in franchise history.
