VEGAS (September 28, 2017) - Vegas Golden Knights General Manager George McPheeannounced today, September 28, that the team has signed goaltender Dylan Fergusonto a three-year, entry level contract. Ferguson joined the Golden Knights for training camp and was the winning goaltender in the team's first preseason game, a 9-4 victory at the Vancouver Canucks on September 17, before he rejoined his Western Hockey League team, the Kamloops Blazers, for the 2017-18 season.
The Golden Knights acquired Ferguson on June 26th from the Dallas Stars in exchange for Marc Methot and a second-round pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. Ferguson was originally selected by the Stars in the seventh round, 194th overall, of the 2017 draft.
