These are the 3 keys to the game:

Picking Up Where They Left Off
The Golden Knights game against the Detroit Red Wings on Thursday night was one of the team's best in a while. The game featured a team which didn't force the offense. They also strayed away from getting involved in high risk-plays, which have cost them goals over the past few weeks. They played a simple, complete game and it worked. They saw success in Detroit and need to have the same mentality and style of play going into this afternoon's game against the Buffalo Sabres.
More Flower Power
Marc-Andre Fleury had one of his better games on Thursday night. He faced 28 shots and was able to come away with his third shutout of the season and 47th career shutout. Fleury stood on his head throughout the game, and another outing like that is just what the Golden Knights need. Fleury has a 23-9-3 record in 35 starts this season.
Secondary Scoring
Nearly 35 percent of Vegas' goals this season have come from the top line of Reilly Smith, Jonathan Marchessault and William Karlsson line. With the absence of Reilly Smith from the lineup on Thursday, there was a necessity for scoring from other lines. Cody Eakin and Alex Tuch each scored two goals to ultimately put their team on top.
