Chandler Stephenson led the way with three points (1G, 2A) as the Vegas Golden Knights (49-22-8) defeated the Los Angeles Kings (45-24-10), 5-2, on Thursday night at T-Mobile Arena.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
Less than a minute after the Kings had a goal called back due to an offside, Phil Kessel found the back of the net to give the Golden Knights a 1-0 lead at 2:54 of the first. Ivan Barbashev, Chandler Stephenson and Nicolas Roy added goals of their own as Vegas carried a commanding 4-0 lead into the first intermission. Jonathan Marchessault scored 1:02 into the second to make it a 5-0 game, but the Kings tacked on two goals as Vegas held the 5-2 lead through 40 minutes. The third period passed by without a goal as the Golden Knights earned the 5-2 victory.
