The Vegas Golden Knights (29-18-4) were defeated by the New York Islanders (25-22-5), 2-1, in overtime on Saturday night at UBS Arena.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
After a scoreless first period, Anders Lee put the Islanders up 1-0 in the middle frame. William Carrier then tied things up 1-1 with four minutes remaining in the second. After another scoreless period in the third, Mathew Barzal scored the overtime winner for New York. Logan Thompson stopped 35 out of 37 shots.
