HOW IT WENT DOWN

The Ducks scored in the final second of the frame to knot the score at 1-1 and took the lead at the midway mark of the second. Alec Martinez buried his second goal as a Golden Knight to tie the score and Karlsson popped in the go-ahead goal in the last minute of the period. After Anaheim scored in the opening minute of the third to tie the game at 3-3, Karlsson scored again to rebuild the Vegas lead. At 11:05 of the period, Karlsson completed the hat trick to give the Golden Knights a 5-3 lead. Anaheim climbed back into the game with two late goals to force overtime, but Shea Theodore picked the low corner to lift Vegas to the win.
