To the People of Las Vegas and Golden Knights fans worldwide,
On behalf of the entire Vegas Golden Knights organization - including our coaches, players and front office linemates - we would like to sincerely thank you all for the continued support, passion and enthusiasm you gave us throughout our second season.
Because of you, we have the best home ice advantage and atmosphere in the entire NHL. The energy at The Fortress is second to none and teams and players around the league have taken notice.
Because of you, Las Vegas has become a hockey town. I am continually amazed by the number of Golden Knights jerseys, license plates and car decals I see throughout the city on a daily basis.
Our season came to a surprising and disappointing end this past week, but I know we have a bright future ahead of us. When we began this journey, we proclaimed that we would achieve "playoffs in three, Cup in six." I am confident we are still on target and are in the process of building a team that will eventually become a consistent Cup contender.
As we have said before, the entire Golden Knights hockey organization including myself is committed to improving next year and every year thereafter. We will never give up and never give in. The Knight always advances and never retreats.
Despite the unfortunate end to our year, I assure you we will come back even stronger next season.
