Marc Andre Fleury was the most popular person in a downtown Denver hotel lobby Friday afternoon.
Fleury rejoined his Vegas Golden Knights teammates on Friday after skipping Thursday's game in San Jose against the Sharks for what head coach Gerard Gallant referred to as a maintenance day.
Fleury played the first period of Tuesday's game against the Vancouver Canucks but did not return to the game with Malcolm Subban coming on to preserve a 4-1 win.

Subban was sharp in a 2-1 overtime loss to the Sharks on Thursday stopping a career high 42 shots.
Fleury, however, is the uncontested No. 1 goalie in Vegas and his teammates were happy to see him back with the group on Friday. Fleury took part in practice and when Gallant was asked if would play on Saturday against the Colorado Avalanche, the coach said it was likely but not a done deal at this point.
"I'll talk to (goaltender coach) Dave (Prior) about it," said Gallant. "Believe it or not - Dave had a schedule for the goalies and the San Jose game was set to be Malcolm's. So it worked out great because he was real strong."
Fleury took a humorous tact in discussing the reason for his absence on Thursday as well as why he left Tuesday's game.
"It was good. Days of Our Lives was on all day. It was a good marathon. I just sat on the couch and got to enjoy," he said with a smile, before being asked about missing two periods on Tuesday.
"I was in net and I just realized that Days of Our Lives was on. I was like 'oh geeze I didn't DVR it'. So I decided to get home and rest. I rushed home and my DVR wasn't working, so I had a couple of days at home to make sure I wasn't missing any of it. I'm good now," he said.
Thursday's overtime loss earned the Golden Knights one point and got the team to 100 for the season.
"It's impressive. It's been a great season for our guys and our group came together real quick. We battled for each other all year and it's been a lot of fun," said veteran winger James Neal. "We've got a lot of work to do coming up here, but it's a great job so far. We're not done yet and it's something to look back on and smile at. We've got to stay in the moment and continue to play good hockey."
Saturday's game starts at noon PT.
