Lagace

Maxime Lagace knew he wanted something.
What he wanted, he didn't know. He just knew he wanted something new when it came to debuting a new goalie mask against the Edmonton Oilers tonight.
"I just gave it to the artist," Lagace said. "I gave him the control. I wanted to see what he could come up with."
After careful planning, which Lagace says was in the works for weeks - even before he became the Golden Knights de fact No. 1 goalie when Oscar Dansk went down on October 30 - thisis what was produced.

Sharp looking, for sure. Although a bit different.
While Dansk and Marc-Andre Fleury have gone with more traditional black and gold color schemes -Malcolm Subban is still wearing an unpainted, generic white mask - Lagace has gone with red.

Although a clever little insert adorns the portion of the mask that covers Lagace's left cheek; Gerard Butler's character, King Leonidas, from the movie 300.

"I just like that movie," Lagace said.
