NOTES
The Golden Knights acquired forward Ivan Barbashev from the St. Louis Blues on Sunday morning. Barbashev will wear No. 49 and will make his Vegas debut against the Avalanche.
Monday's game is the third and final game this season between Vegas and Colorado.
SEASON SERIES
Vegas and Colorado opened their season series on Oct. 22 when the Avalanche picked up a 3-2 win at T-Mobile Arena. In their second meeting, Vegas used two goals from Nicolas Roy and a 27-save showing from Logan Thompson to skate to a 3-2 win at Ball Arena.
LAST TIME OUT
The Golden Knights fell to the Dallas Stars, 3-2, in a shootout on Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena. Laurent Brossoit (VGK) and Jake Oettinger (DAL) combined for 82 saves in the nets as the Golden Knights extended their point streak to nine games. Michael Amadio and Jack Eichel scored for Vegas while Wyatt Johnson and Roope Hintz scored in regulation for Dallas. Hintz's goal tied the game in the final minute to send the game beyond regulation. Jason Roberston and Hintz scored in the shootout to lift the Stars to the victory.
