With a tough two-game road trip in the rearview mirror and a challenging four-game Atlantic Division swoop a few days away, the Vegas Golden Knights have their eyes on two important points as they encounter the Carolina Hurricanes at 7 p.m. PT Saturday night at T-Mobile Arena. Fans can catch the action on AT&T SportsNet, FOX Sports Radio 98.9/1340 and ESPN Deportes 1460.
NOTES
Vegas is 3-2-1 in six games at T-Mobile Arena this year.
Max Pacioretty skated with the team during morning skate, but will not return to the lineup tonight.
Colin Miller led the Golden Knights in scoring against Carolina in 2017-18 with one goal and three assists.
The Golden Knights are 3-0-0 in Saturday games in the 2018-19 season.
LAST TIME OUT
Goals from Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, Erik Haula and Alex Tuch weren't enough for the Golden Knights as the St. Louis Blues put five pucks behind Marc-Andre Fleury on Thursday night. It was the second loss in a row for Vegas and left the Golden Knights with an 0-2-0 record on their two-game road trip.

STREAKS
Jonathan Marchessault is riding a three-game point streak (1G, 2A). It's his second such streak this season.
Vegas is on a three-game win streak on Saturdays this season (3-0-0).
OPPOSITION UPDATE
The Hurricanes come to Vegas for their second game of a four-game trip. They started their westward excursion with a 4-3 overtime loss to the Arizona Coyotes.
Carolina sits in fourth place in the Metropolitan Division with 14 points.
Sebastian Aho has been the offensive story of the season so far in the NHL. He opened the season with a 12-game point streak (4G, 13A) and finally went without a point against Arizona.
STORYLINES
In two games against the Hurricanes last season, the Golden Knights found a way to add three points to the standings through a 5-1 win in Carolina and a 3-2 shootout loss on home ice.
Vegas has a chance to improve on its record against Eastern Conference foes this season. Through nine contests, the Golden Knights have a 3-5-0 record against teams from the east and will need to improve on that Saturday night with two key points up for grabs.
KEYS TO THE GAME
Sound Structure: Vegas fixed the issue of allowing odd-man rushes Thursday night, but they got a touch too aggressive in the defensive zone, allowing St. Louis players to open up at the sides of the net.
Production From The Blueline: Vegas has received only one goal from a defenseman this season when Shea Theodore hit the back of the net from the blueline on October 26. The forwards will need some help on the offensive front against an impressive Carolina defense.
