VEGAS (December 13, 2017) -Vegas Golden Knights General Manager George McPhee announced today, December 13, the following roster transactions: the team has claimed forward Ryan Carpenter off waivers and the team has assigned forwardStefan Matteauto the Chicago Wolves of the American Hockey League.
Carpenter has appeared in 16 games for the San Jose Sharks this season and has recorded one assist. He has spent parts of the last two seasons with the Sharks and has recorded five points (2 G, 3 A) to go with six penalty minutes in 28 games. The Oviedo, Florida native signed with San Jose as an undrafted free agent after finishing up his collegiate career at Bowling Green State University.

Matteau has appeared in five games for the Golden Knights this season and his lone assist came at Minnesota on November 30. He has also appeared in 19 games for the Chicago Wolves this season and has recorded five points (4 G, 1 A) to go with 15 penalty minutes.
