Logan Thompson made 35 saves to register his first NHL win as the Vegas Golden Knights (29-18-4) beat the San Jose Sharks (22-22-5), 4-1, on Sunday night at SAP Center.

HOW IT WENT DOWN
Midway through the first period, Keegan Kolesar snapped a shot through James Reimer to give the Golden Knights a 1-0 lead. During a 4-on-4 later in the period, Chandler Stephenson set up Jack Eichel for his first goal as a Golden Knight to put Vegas ahead by a pair. Max Pacioretty added to the lead with a snapshot less than two minutes into the second period for his third goal in the last two games. Nick Bonino got the Sharks on the board in the third period, but it wasn't enough as Chandler Stephenson added an empty-net goal to give the Golden Knights the 4-1 win.
TOP PERFORMERS
Logan Thompson: Thompson earned his first NHL victory in his second start with the Golden Knights. The reigning AHL Goalie of the Year stopped 35-of-36 shots for the win.
Jack Eichel: Eichel notched his first multi-point game with the Golden Knights with a goal and an assist. It was his first multi-point game since Jan. 31, 2021.
Shea Theodore:Theodore put up two assists to tie the team lead in assists with 26 this season.
Max Pacioretty: Pacioretty notched two points (1G, 1A) for the second game in a row.
STAT OF THE KNIGHT
The Golden Knights picked up their 10th consecutive regular season win against San Jose. Vegas' win streak against the Sharks dates back to Dec. 22, 2019, when the Golden Knights earned a 3-0 win at SAP Center. The Golden Knights won all eight matchups with the Sharks last season and are 1-0-0 in the head-to-head this season.
