When the Golden Knights acquired winger Tobias Lindberg and a 2018 sixth-round pick from the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for Calvin Pickard on Friday, many fans immediately asked:
Who the heck is Tobias Lindberg?
Here are three fun facts to get to know him better.

1. Is a safe player
What this means is there isn't much flash and dash to Lindberg's game. However, he plays an honest style and can be counted on in most situations.
6-foot-2, 216-pound wings that play well-rounded games aren't anything to scoff at, either. The questions facing Lindberg will be how much offensive upside he truly has.
He did have two assists in six games with the Maple Leafs last year, but only had 16 points (6G, 10A) in 44 games with the AHL's Marlies. Lindberg's long-term potential is still very much up in the air.
Could see time with the Golden Knights and Chicago Wolves this season.
2. Has steadily progressed
Lindberg was originally drafted by the Ottawa Senators, and found his way to their AHL team in 2015-16 season after leaving Europe to play junior hockey for the Oshawa Generals the year before.
And then found his way from the Binghamton Senators to the Toronto Maple Leafs and Marlies the following year.
So while Lindberg's long-term potential is a bit of an unknown, it must be noted that he's been a late bloomer throughout his career. His 78 points (32G, 46A) in 67 games with Oshawa show that he does have the ability to score.
At this point, he's just been a late bloomer and still has to prove his offensive acumen at the pro level. Scored 11 AHL goals in his first pro season and six in his second.
Is only 22 years of age.
3. Is no relation to Oscar Lindberg
At all.
There are a lot of people with the last name Lindberg from Sweden.
