VEGAS (December 20, 2017) -Vegas Golden Knights General Manager George McPhee announced today, December 20, the following roster transaction: the team has assigned forward Tomas Hyka to the American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves. Hyka was recalled by the Golden Knights on December 18, but did not appear in NHL game action.
Hyka has appeared in 16 games for the Wolves this season and has recorded 12 points (6G, 6A). Against the Grand Rapids Griffins on December 15, he had a four-point game (2G, 2A) in the Wolves 6-3 victory. During the preseason with the Golden Knights, Hyka appeared in five of the seven games and ranked tied for fourth in the NHL with four goals. He finished the exhibition schedule with five points (4G, 1A) and was one of three players on the team to record multiple goals during the preseason.

The forward was signed by the Golden Knights as a free agent in June 2017.
