VEGAS (December 18, 2017) -Vegas Golden Knights General Manager George McPhee announced today, December 18, the following roster transactions: the team has placed defenseman Luca Sbisaon the injured reserve list (lower body) and has recalled forward Tomas Hyka from the American Hockey League's Chicago Wolves. This is the first NHL recall of Hyka's career.
In 23 games this season, Sbisa has recorded 10 points (1G, 9 A) to go with eight penalty minutes.
Hyka has appeared in 16 games for the Wolves this season and has recorded 12 points (6G, 6A). Against the Grand Rapids Griffins on December 15, he had a four-point game (2G, 2A) in the Wolves 6-3 victory. During the preseason with the Golden Knights, Hyka appeared in five of the seven games and ranked tied for fourth in the NHL with four goals. He finished the exhibition schedule with five points (4G, 1A) and was one of three players on the team to record multiple goals during the preseason.
