VEGAS (February 10, 2021)- Vegas Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon announced today, February 10, the following roster transactions: forward Tomas Jurco and defenseman Kaedan Korczak have been assigned to the American Hockey League's Henderson Silver Knights and defenseman Carl Dahlstrom and forward Tyrell Goulbourne were recalled to the Golden Knights taxi squad.
Jurco appeared in 12 games for the Edmonton Oilers last season and finished with two assists to go with four penalty minutes. He also appeared in eight games for the American Hockey League's Bakersfield Condors, posting seven points (4 G, 3 A) to go with 10 PIM. Jurco has recorded 52 career NHL points (22 G, 30 A) to go with 64 PIM in 213 games with the Oilers, Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings. He was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the second round (35th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft and signed a one-year contract with Vegas on October 10, 2020.
Vegas Golden Knights Announce Roster Transactions
Jurco and Korczak have been assigned to HSK and Dahlstrom and Goulbourne have been recalled to the VGK taxi squad
Korczak most recently helped lead Team Canada to a silver medal at the 2021 IIHF World Junior Championship. He posted one assist in seven games. Following the tournament, he was assigned to the AHL's Henderson Silver Knights and appeared in a preseason game. In 60 games last season with the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League, Korczak tallied 49 points (11 G, 38 A) in his third full season of junior hockey. The 2019 second-round pick (41st overall) signed an entry-level contract with the Golden Knights on December 21, 2019.
Dahlstrom has recorded 10 points (0 G, 10 A) to go with 12 penalty minutes in 64 career NHL games. This season, he has appeared in two games for the Silver Knights. The Stockholm, Sweden native appeared in 15 games for the Jets during the 2019-20 season and posted one assist. He made his NHL debut with the Chicago Blackhawks on February 10, 2018 at the Minnesota Wild. Dahlstrom was selected in the second round (51st overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft by the Chicago Blackhawks. The Golden Knights acquired Dahlstrom and a conditional fourth-round draft selection in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft from the Winnipeg Jets on October 9, 2020 in exchange for forward Paul Stastny.
Goulbourne has appeared in two games with the Silver Knights this season. With the Chicago Wolves last year, he posted three points (1 G, 2 A) to go with 42 penalty minutes in 53 games. During the 2018-19 season, Goulbourne recorded 18 points (9 G, 9 A) to go with 135 penalty minutes in 63 games for the AHL's Lehigh Valley Phantoms. He has appeared in a total of 11 games for the Philadelphia Flyers in parts of two seasons, including two games during the 2018-19 season. Goulbourne was selected in the third round (72nd overall) of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft by the Philadelphia Flyers. He signed a two-year contract with the Golden Knights on July 1, 2019.
