VEGAS (February 20, 2020) - The Vegas Golden Knights announced today, February 20, updated plans for "Miracle Weekend" as the organization will help celebrate the 40th anniversary of the U.S. Olympic Hockey Team defeating the four-time defending gold medalist Soviet Union team 4-3 on February 22, 1980.
Miracle Weekend will begin on Friday, February 21 with a special book signing at The Arsenal at City National Arena. Jim Craig, the starting goaltender on the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey Team, will be at The Arsenal from 3-5 p.m. to sign copies of his new book, "We Win!," which will be for sale at the store.

Later that day, the Golden Knights will host a sold-out season ticket member event at the Brooklyn Bowl from 7-9 p.m. PT. Players from the Olympic team will be in attendance and participate in a special question and answer session led by Golden Knights broadcaster Stormy Buonantony. Please note this event is not open to media.
The celebration will continue 40 years to the day, on Saturday, February 22 as the U.S. Olympians attend the Golden Knights/Panthers game with a pregame ceremony at T-Mobile Arena. The team will also be honored in Toshiba Plaza before the game and given keys to The Strip by Clark County Commissioner Michael Naft. Fans in attendance can pick up limited-edition USA Hockey posters at Sections 4, 9 and 216 up until puck drop. An exhibit featuring memorabilia from the 1980 Olympics will be between Sections 11 and 12 throughout the game. Sportscaster Al Michaels, who had the legendary call of the win over the Soviet Union team, will join the team as part of the celebration.
Please note that the "Relive The Miracle" event at the Thomas and Mack Center on Saturday, February 22 has been cancelled.
