Vegas Golden Knights Claim Forward Valentin Zykov Off Waivers

VEGAS (December 29, 2018) - Vegas Golden Knights General Manager George McPhee announced today, December 29, that the team has claimed forward Valentin Zykov off waivers.
Zykov is expected to join the Golden Knights at a later date due to potential immigration delays. The team will provide an update after his arrival date is confirmed.
Zykov, was a second round (37th overall) selection by the Los Angeles Kings during the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, has appeared in 30 NHL games during his career, spending time with the Carolina Hurricanes and Edmonton Oilers. The St. Petersburg, Russia native has recorded 11 points (4 G, 7 A) to go with four penalty minutes since making his debut on March 9, 2017 with the Hurricanes. This season, he has appeared in a career-high 18 games, recording three assists.
