VEGAS - June 6, 2017 - Vegas Golden Knights General Manager George McPheeannounced today, June 6, that the team has hired Kyle Moore as their associate head athletic trainer. In this role, Moore will assist the Director of Sports Performance and Head Athletic Trainer Jay Mellette with daily administration of the curative, preventative and performance enhancement services. Moore is also expected to be one of the training staff representatives present on the Golden Knights bench at home games and on the road.
Moore joins the Golden Knights after spending the last five seasons as the head athletic trainer for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League. With the Penguins, he oversaw a staff that provided daily athletic training services for players. Moore also assisted the Pittsburgh Penguins organization with NHL training camps and during playoff runs in the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Before joining the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, Moore was an assistant athletic trainer at Albright College in Reading, PA from 2012-13 where his primary responsibilities were working with the volleyball, field hockey and men's and women's lacrosse teams. From 2011-12, he served as an assistant clinical professor/assistant athletic trainer at the University of New England in Biddeford, ME, where he assisted with athletic training curriculum courses and worked with the volleyball, men's ice hockey and softball teams.
Moore was also a graduate assistant athletic trainer from 2009-11 at Ohio University. With the Bobcats, he served as the head athletic trainer for the men's ice hockey team. Moore was also an intern athletic training student with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins from 2008-09 and with the Reading Royals from 2006-09.
The Oley, PA native attended East Stroudsburg University and graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training. Moore also holds a Master's degree in Athletic Training from Ohio University. He is a certified strength and conditioning coach through the NSCA.
Moore and his wife Lauren were married in July of 2015.
