VEGAS (October 28, 2021) - Vegas Golden Knights General Manager Kelly McCrimmon announced today, October 28, that the team has signed defenseman Ben Hutton to a one-year contract worth $750,000.

Hutton, who will wear number 17, has appeared in 379 National Hockey League games, and has posted 91 points (16 G, 75 A) to go with 136 penalty minutes. Last season, he split time between the Anaheim Ducks and the Toronto Maple Leafs, finishing with five points (1 G, 4 A) in 38 games. Prior to his time in Anaheim, he spent one year with the Los Angeles Kings (2019-20) and four seasons with the Vancouver Canucks (2015-19). Prior to his professional career, Hutton played collegiately at the University of Maine and was named to the All-Hockey East First Team following the 2013-14 season. He helped lead Canada to a gold medal during the 2016 IIHF World Championship.
The Brockville, Ontario native was a fifth-round selection (147th overall) by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2012 NHL Entry Draft.
