His 26 goals during the regular season led the DEL. The Winnipeg, MB native also appeared in 17 playoff games, finishing with 15 points (8 G, 7 A), and led the EHC Red Bull München to its third straight DEL championship on April 26, 2018. He also helped lead Germany to a silver medal during the 2018 Olympic Winter Games in South Korea, finishing with four points (2 G, 2 A) in seven games. Macek was selected by the Detroit Red Wings in the sixth round (171st overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
