VEGAS (June 11, 2018)- Vegas Golden Knights General Manager George McPhee announced today, June 11, that the team has signed forward Stefan Matteau. Matteau inked a one-year contract worth an NHL average annual value of $650,000 and an American Hockey League Base Salary of $110,000.
Matteau spent most of the 2017-18 season with the AHL's Chicago Wolves, appearing in 60 games and finishing with 27 points (15 G, 12 A). He also appeared in eight games with the Vegas Golden Knights tallying one assist against the Minnesota Wild during the 2017-18 regular season. Matteau was selected by the New Jersey Devils in the first round (29th overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. He signed with the Golden Knights on July 1, 2017.
