The Vegas Golden Knights shutout the Pittsburgh Penguins, 3-0, on Saturday night at PPG Paints Arena to give the team its 100th franchise victory.
HOW IT WENT DOWN
The first period came and went without a peep from either team. Then, 3:38 into the second Paul Stastny got his third power play goal of the year after a quick pass from Cody Glass found his stick. With Vegas on the penalty kill in the final two minutes of the third, Tristan Jarry abandoned his net to give his team the two-man advantage. Karlsson shot the puck across the length of the ice into the empty net. Stone collected his own empty-netter 23 seconds later to give Vegas the win by a final score of 3-0.

TURNING POINT
After a slow and silent start, the Penguins lost a man for goaltender interference at the beginning of the second frame. Glass took control of the puck in front of Pittsburgh's net and, with all of Jarry's attention on the rookie forward, he was blindsided when a fast feed from Glass to Stastny ended up in the back of his net.
