That campaign, "The Golden Age," will be highlighted not just by the gold jerseys at home, but also throughout the team's creative approach on digital channels, in market and with enhancements to the in-arena production at T-Mobile Arena. During the four preseason games in Vegas, gold statues of Bruce Cassidy, Jack Eichel, Reilly Smith, and Mark Stone will be given away to all fans in attendance.
Opening Knight of the regular season on Thursday, October 13 will feature a return of the Gold Carpet, where fans can welcome players and coaches on Toshiba Plaza before the game. "After a memorable five years as the 31st NHL franchise, we look forward to advancing to the latest era of Golden Knights hockey," said Golden Knights President Kerry Bubolz. "While being Vegas Born will always be a significant part of our identity, The Golden Age represents a time of all-new adventures and opportunities as we and our city emerge in the post-pandemic world. As we continue to pursue the ultimate goal of bringing a Stanley Cup to Vegas and our passionate fanbase, we are consistently looking for ways to enhance our product, and we couldn't be more excited for the sixth season of hockey in the desert."
Vegas' use of gold as a primary color is unique in the NHL and the gold jersey was the first of its kind in professional sports when it was unveiled in 2020. That innovation fits the traditional definition of a Golden Age, which is also commonly characterized by advancement, connectivity, collaboration and positivity.
"Gold is a bold and powerful color and one that we are excited to feature even more with this evolution," said Chief Marketing Officer Eric Tosi. "It fits both our city and our organization, and is a natural defining theme of this new campaign. We are excited to welcome our fans back to T-Mobile, proudly wearing gold and rallying around this new era."
In addition to the organization's new campaign, the Golden Knights announced a full schedule of promotional games during the 2022-23 season. Those theme knights will feature unique jerseys worn by the team during warmups. Additional details will be announced prior to each of the 10 contests.
