The 2024 VGK Road Trip presented by Las Vegas headed to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho to bring the full Golden Knights experience to a city full of stunning views in the teams’ market.

As the VGK staff arrived in Coeur d’Alene on Saturday evening, the quaint city quickly became a favorite for its greenery. Lake Coeur d’Alene’s beauty was an enjoyable sight and one the group will always ache to return.

On Sunday morning, Director of VGK Youth Hockey Programs Sheri Hudspeth laced up her skates and joined local coaches for an on-ice girls hockey clinic at Frontier Ice Arena in Coeur d’Alene. Following the skate, Hudspeth and Vice President of Marketing Stephanie Rogers hosted a Q&A with the young hockey players about the importance of female representation in the sport of hockey.

“It’s inspiring to see the next generation of female players so committed to getting better and learning how to achieve their dreams on and off the ice.” Rogers expressed. “We’re grateful to the Frontier Ice Arena for hosting us and for the opportunity to see these girls shine.”

It was an eventful afternoon as Henderson Silver Knights goalie Isaiah Saville joined the youth hockey coaches for on-ice and off-ice clinics where more than 100 kids participated in drills and scrimmages. While it may have been the normal chilly weather inside the rink, the sun was shining bright above kids outside enjoying themselves in a competitive game of ball hockey. Of course, it would not have been a true game without VGK play-by-play announcer Dave Goucher tapping in and showing everyone a thing or two.

After a busy day at the rink, the Vegas crew hit the local Mackenzie River Pizza in Coeur d’Alene to refuel and spread the word about KnightTime+. Goucher enlisted the help of Chance to distribute information on how to watch the Golden Knights and took photos with fans at the restaurant.

The VGK Road Trip continues in Boise where the team will host on-ice clinics beginning at 9 a.m. at Idaho Ice World. VGK Insider Gary Lawless will join the festivities and be available to sign copies of ‘It Hurts To Win: The Official Inside Story of the 2022-23 Stanley Cup Champion Vegas Golden Knights’.
