"Raise Up" joined seven other goal song finalists in the fan vote, which garnered nearly 30,000 entries in a week. With more than 26 percent of the popular vote and besting the runner-up by more than 2,500 votes, "Raise Up" was the clear victor.
The first opportunity for fans to hear the new goal song in-arena will be Wednesday, Sept. 19, when the Hurricanes host the Tampa Bay Lightning in a preseason match-up.
The Hurricanes open the 2018-19 regular season at home on Thursday, Oct. 4 against the New York Islanders.
