Nov. 5, 2019 - The Islanders claimed their 10-straight win during the 2019-20 campaign with a 4-1 win over Ottawa. The 10-game run marked the second-longest winning streak in franchise history as the Isles had won 15-straight games during the 1981-82 season en route to their third-straight Stanley Cup.
The Isles 10-game winning streak in the 2019-20 season was part of a franchise-record setting 17-game point streak (15-0-2).

Nov. 5, 2017 - Mathew Barzal sets a franchise rookie record with five assists in a game versus Colorado.
Barzal assisted on Jordan Eberle's first-period goal, a pair of Nick Leddy's power-play goals and a Johnny Boychuk tallly in the second period, and Eberle's second goal of the game in the third period.
Barzal finished his extradorinary rookie season with a team-high 85 points and 63 assists. His standout season was cemented with the Calder Memorial Trophy honors, which is awarded annunally by the league to the player selected as the most proficient in his first year of competition in the NHL.
This marked the first of Barzal's three five-point games during the 2017-18 season.
