If you wanted to see a team apply lessons learned from an overtime loss to turn their next game into a win, this was the game for you. Less than 24 hours after falling in overtime to the Anaheim Ducks, the Kraken took to the ice in Los Angeles. They efforted a composed game and maintained focus throughout 60 minutes of play backed by solid goaltending from Martin Jones. On their way to a 4-1 victory, four different Seattle skaters scored and both sides of special teams produced including a heady penalty kill late to keep the Kings off the board as they fought to narrow the gap, ultimately adding two standing points to the Kraken's tally for three total through two games played. A successful road trip, indeed.
