The National Hockey League announced late Friday the Kraken's road game with the New York Islanders Saturday afternoon game has been postponed due to a weather-related state of emergency. The game is rescheduled for Wednesday at 4 p.m.
The decision aligns with New York Gov. Kathy Hochul's decision to declare a state of emergency for multiple downstate New York counties including all of those encompassing Long Island and New York City (where the Kraken are scheduled to meet the New York Rangers in a Sunday matinee).
