Playing against a divisional opponent, the Kraken played true to themselves and delivered a 3-1 win in San Jose. Seattle was able to quiet the Sharks' offense with strong play in the neutral zone, backed up by an impactful performance by Chris Driedger in net. With those systems in place, a three goal third period (which was Seattle's best 20 minutes of the game offensively) saw Ryan Donato, Brandon Tanev, and Calle Jarnkrok get on the scoreboard to deliver two standings points.
