In the final matchup of the season between Seattle and Vancouver, the Kraken were hoping to get their first win against their divisional rivals. But it was not to be. Playing with a new look lineup (Vince Dunn and Kole Lind out with upper-body injuries; Dennis Cholowski made his regular season Kraken debut; Joey Daccord was in net), the visiting team struggled early and allowed three goals against in the first period. Two of these goals came off the rush, a problem that plagued the Kraken this game. They allowed a total of 11 scoring chances off the rush through 60 minutes of play.

The Kraken would fight back in period two, aided by five drawn penalties to make the score 3-2, but it wasn't enough to establish a lead. The Canucks ultimately added two more goals for a 5-2 final and a season series sweep over Seattle.
