Ovechkin scores air hockey goal, banks one in off side boards

Alex Ovechkin should know better. If you are going to bank it in, you have to call it.

The Washington Capitals star caromed in an empty-neter in a goal that looked more like something out of billiards.
Or air hockey, of course.
Ovechkin's odd goal appeared to be a missed pass to teammate Tom Wilson that hit the side boards just beyond the red line and slid all the way into the net.
It was likely the greatest missed pass of Ovechkin's decorated career.
