Jakob Pelletier, F: The 22-year-old, who was selected in the first round (No. 26) of the 2019 NHL Draft, had seven points (three goals, four assists) in 24 games with the Flames after making his NHL debut Jan. 21. He also had 37 points (16 goals, 21 assists) in 35 games with the Calgary of the American Hockey League and 10 points (four goals, six assists) in nine AHL playoff games. Pelletier's time with the Flames last season should give him an advantage toward earning a full-time NHL spot this season. … Connor Zary, F: The 21-year-old was selected in the first round (No. 24) of the 2020 NHL Draft. He had 58 points (21 goals, 37 assists) in 72 AHL games last season. Zary is expected to challenge for a bottom-six roster spot this season. … Matt Coronato, F: The 20-year-old, chosen in the first round (No. 13) of the 2021 NHL Draft made his NHL debut April 12, after signing a three-year, entry-level contract March 26. He had 36 points (20 goals, 16 assists) in 34 games as a sophomore at Harvard University last season.
