Ducks end Blackhawks winning streak at 5

ANAHEIM --Troy Terry had a goal and an assist for the Anaheim Ducks, who ended the Chicago Blackhawks five-game winning streak with a 4-2 victory at Honda Center on Monday.

Terry has scored in three straight games since returning from an upper-body injury that caused him to miss seven games.
"I didn't have a whole lot of puck luck for a while," Terry said. "The last couple games I've been getting the bounces."

Max Jones had a goal and an assist, Mason McTavish had three assists, and Frank Vatrano had two assists for the Ducks (20-34-7), who have won three in a row. Lukas Dostal made 24 saves.
Tyler Johnson had a goal and an assist, and Petr Mrazek made 29 saves for the Blackhawks (21-33-5). Max Domi had two assists to extend his point streak to seven games (four goals, 10 assists).
"We've got a lot of new players right now, so we're just going to have to find a new rhythm," Chicago coach Luke Richardson said. "These guys have been resilient, and tonight they pushed right through until the end."

Johnson gave Chicago a 1-0 lead at 5:35 of the first period, scoring top shelf over Dostal's blocker from the left circle off a cross-ice pass from Domi. The goal came on the second of overlapping power plays after Trevor Zegras was called for slashing at 2:58, and Simon Benoit for hooking at 4:29.
"I thought we did well on the special teams," Richardson said.
Isac Lundestrom tied it 1-1 at 13:18, taking a cross-ice pass from Terry and scoring off the far post from the left circle.
Jakob Silfverberg put the Ducks in front 2-1 at 19:14 when he redirected a pass from John Klingberg in the slot on a power play.
"Not the start we wanted, took way too many penalties and, obviously, they got one on the power play, so kind of got caught on our back foot," Silfverberg said. "But big goal by [Lundestrom], big shot, so it kind of got us going. And then, obviously, we got a few power plays."

Andreas Athanasiou tied it 2-2 at 13:11 of the second period with a one-timer from the right circle off a pass from Domi for another power-play goal.
Dostal made a save on Domi on a breakaway with 2:04 left in the second, and Jones then scored off a pass from McTavish with 18 seconds remaining to give the Ducks a 3-2 lead.
"Frank [Vatrano] and [McTavish] made a strong play on the wall there, and an easy pass for [McTavish]," Jones said. "He makes those plays look real easy, and (I) just had to put it in the net."
Terry pushed it to 4-2 at 8:15 of the third period. He drove to the net, waited out Mrazek and scored when his backhand from along the goal line hit off the crossbar before deflecting in off Domi.
"He's been great for us all year. He's definitely a leader," McTavish said of Terry. "He's just getting better and better every game. He's got such a great shot. I'm not surprised he's scoring now."
NOTES:Chicago forward Patrick Kane missed his second straight game because of roster management. ... Chicago forward Colin Blackwell left the game in the second period because of a pulled groin. He is expected to miss several games, Richardson said. ... Blackhawks forward Jujhar Khaira returned after missing 26 games because of a back injury. He was minus-2 in 15:25 of ice time. ... Chicago defenseman Jarred Tinordi returned after missing the six games with a knee sprain. He was minus-2 in 16:32. ... Joey Anderson made it to Anaheim in time for warmups after being acquired in a trade with the Toronto Maple Leafs on Monday for defenseman Jake McCabe and forward Sam Lafferty. He was minus-2 in 11:17. ... Defenseman Andreas Englund made his Blackhawks debut after being acquired in a trade with the Colorado Avalanche on Sunday for defenseman Jack Johnson. He had four shots, one hit and two blocks in 17:05. ... Blackhawks forward Philipp Kurashev did not play because of a non-COVID illness. ... Blackhawks goalie Alex Stalock was activated off injured reserve on Sunday after missing 17 games because of oculomotor dysfunction. He backed up Mrazek and will start Tuesday at the Arizona Coyotes... Klingberg had an assist and has nine points (two goals, seven assists) in his past nine games.
