Nolan Burke, C, Sarnia, OHL (Nashville Predators):Burke had a five-game goal streak (nine goals) and 13-game point streak (27 points; 18 goals, nine assists) end Friday; each was the longest active streak in the league. The 20-year-old has 49 goals in 54 games and can become the first Sarnia player to score 50 in a season since Reid Boucher (62) in 2012-13. The Predators signed the undrafted Burke to a three-year, entry-level contract Nov. 14, 2022.
Jacob Melanson, RW, Sherbrooke, QMJHL (Seattle Kraken):Melanson had four assists in a 7-1 win against Rouyn-Noranda on Friday to extend his point streak to 28 games (49 points; 22 goals, 27 assists), the longest in the QMJHL since Mathieu Joseph had a point in 28 straight in 2016-17. The 19-year-old has a point in every game since Sherbrooke acquired him in a trade with Acadie-Bathurst on Jan. 2. A fifth-round pick (No. 131) in the 2021 draft, Melanson has 93 points (47 goals, 46 assists) in 55 games this season.
Matthew Seminoff, RW, Kamloops, WHL (Dallas Stars):Seminoff had a single-game WHL-high eight points (four goals, four assists) in Kamloops' 11-1 win against Victoria on Wednesday. He scored two goals in the first period and two more in the second for his first four-goal game in four WHL seasons. The league record for points in a game is 10, done five times, most recently in 1990. The Stars selected the 19-year-old in the sixth round (No. 179) of the 2022 draft.
